Job Role & Responsibilities
- Serves as the technical specialist for the organisation in the application of advanced concepts, principles and methods in an assigned area.
- Provides detailed technical support to the less experienced engineers and is responsible for approving design documents and ensuring high quality outputs.
- Interprets, organises, executes and coordinates assignments.
- Supervises/manages a structured team of engineers and designers.
- Supervises/Mentors the development of the less experienced and qualified engineers to help them achieve Chartered status.
Qualifications
- Track record of delivering an exceptional client experience to contractors and end clients.
- Proven experience in delivering multi discipline water industry design projects and good understanding of UK industry standards.
- The ability to plan, lead and coordinate resources and ensure project technical & commercial outcomes and client expectations are met.
- Experience with and design of some or all of the following; Process plant, Rotating Equipment, Pumping Systems, Steam Systems, Clean and waste water systems (clarification, filtration, disinfection, sludge handling etc), Detailed pipework design, Pipework stress analysis.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience with clients within the region
- Chartered Engineer, at Corporate Member grade of relevant engineering institution(ie IMechE).
